Electrical problem
1994 BMW 525i 6 cyl Automatic

The automatic door locking quit functioning when I lock the driver door. I think it is draining the battery. Sometimes the anti-theft lights start blinking. Where would I look to check the wiring? I am totally car-illiterate but totally on a budget and willing to learn and do. Thank you. ( Keep in mind I am blonde and female.)

Try popping the switch out and unplugging it, get back to us and we can give you the resistance spec...MAYBE, after all this is BMW, they dont release all test info! Ultimate driving machine, not an ultimate repairable. NOT a good car to learn on!

The issue is very possibly one of the micro-switches at the door lock assembly. What has been done so far?
