1989 BMW 525i Headlights

When I'm driving with my headlights on, often, they will just shut off without me doing anything. This is really dangerous and I'd really love to learn how to fix this. Thanks!

The lamp control module is suspect as it controls all the light functions, it is in the black electrical box under the hood on the left side. It has LKM printed on it. It may have some loose solder traces on the circuit board. Replacement may be needed, or re-solder the traces.
