Door lock problem. BMW 523i 1996 140000mls

Passenger door is jammed shut. Actuator is popping up on remote but door not unlocking. Cant get panel off to investigate. Is there another way to release the lock without removing panel. Tried the usual coathanger but cant get it free.

If you have the manual for car ahev a look in there and there should be a procedure for manually unlocking a deadlocked door with the key.
