we were stopped at a red lite & was rear ended by a driver on a cell phone doing 45 miles per hr. both driver & passenger seats backs collapsed & broke off at the hinges, air bags were not deployed, when we were pushed into the car in front of us resulting in major damage both rear & front. BMW said this is suppose to happen in a rear end collision,is this true, off cause we were both injured.

If you got hit and there were no airbag deployment at all I would say you should get an attorney and file suit as soon as possible.
