Basically my car has a fan which stays on under the dash it seems lyk anytime I touch any electrical item eg remote central locking, window switc, even volume on my steering for the radio it triggers it I was told it could possibly be the f.S.U unit which I have changed 2years ago also a brand new Bosch battery. Well I have changed this again and it has not helped. Could some1 please help because now it seems like it's getting louder don't want anything going too wrong.

ive chnaged the fsu and today I cleaned out the havc sampling fan made no difference so I took my mates climate control unit out, he has the same car as me and his climate control unit does the same thing in my car but in his its okay plaese help thanx

Where do you say this fan is? Is it inside the car or in the front? Are you sure it's a fan?

The issue seems likely to be something of a mystery unless we can agree on what and where this noise maker is. Inside the dash of the E-39 series vehicles is the blower fan and some electronic actuators, if they are eliminated then what is left is the source of your noise. If it helps, go to Realoem. Com and enter your cars' VIN and see the exploded view for yourself, let me know what you come up with.
