1998 BMW 525 6 cyl

Intermittently I get a flashing warning light on my dash board which reads:

Limit 4 mph

My vehicle still runs.

What do I need to correct this problem?

What problem category (electrical, copmputer etc. does this warning message indicate

Please help with a diagnosis.

What exactly is your definition of intermittent? What equipment level is the car? Does anything else from the history have relevance?

By intermittent, I mean it flashes on just for a few seconds on the dashboard. It flashes every 4-5 minutes during the ride.

The car seems to be running fine.

How do I turn it off?

Depending on the equipment level, you should be able to go into the MID display and cancel the feature that sets the speed warning.
