Hi, My drivers side window fell into the door. I removed the panel and found a window slide broken off. I have ordered new slides but the window itself seems to be out of the vertical guide track that I think I can feel in the front of the door. I have not installed the new slides yet, but am worried that when I do, if the window tries to raise out of alignment it will damage the glass or new slides. Am I right that there are vertical guides and how do I get the window back in them? Thanks

Here is an exploded view that may be helpful: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=HD63&mospid=47404&btnr=51_0406&hg=51&fg=10
Install the glass and see if it tracks in the channels, if not then the issue should be apparent. If it does track, the glide pieces must "click" in completely or it will be a problem.
