I just bought a 1995 BMW 525 (European version). One of the brake lights was out so I replaced the bulb. Checked all other lights and everything is fine.
But I can't get the "Brake Light" warning message to go away.
Any tips?

Thanks!

Yes. This is a typical failure item if you have installed the wrong bulbs. They must be the silver base bulbs of the correct wattage. The brake lamp switch may also need replacement if the issue persists beyond bulb replacement and/or an inspection of the bulb holders and the wiring. In fact I would install a new brake lamp switch antway, they have a high failure rate and cause the problems you are having now.
