If there is no fuel pressure or spark then it is possible the issue is with some other control module such as the DME or EWS alignment. Have you access to the proprietary BMW diagnostic equipment or perhaps a snap-on scan tool with a digital oscilloscope, if not you might seek out someone who does or you could easily just be a parts changer, and that can be very costly. ♥

I forget to mention that about a month ago I was able to crank the car with starter fluid. Now nothing -nada. My car was manufactured on october 1994 and I am not sure if it's equiped with EWS. I beleive BMW statred EWS on DEC'94. Anyways, where's the DME for this type of cars located and how to test it.
Thanks

E-34 DME is located in the E box under hood on the right side. Its the one that has four Phillips screws holding the cover on. Call (619)444-2290 for access to someone who can test the DME and repair it if needed.

On my 94' BMW 525I(OBDI) we hooked up a snap-on scan tool (OBDII with a BMW cable connection interface) but no reading/data was outputed. Scanner does not communicate with the car. Any idea why? Is there specific tool to use for this kind of cars?
How much is the average cost of repairing a DME
Thank you

With the key on there should be battery power at the injectors and this test can be performed with a test lamp to ground. Also try installing a "noid" light in the injector connector and see if it flashes.
