1987 BMW 525 Stop lamps are out

Hello,

My lights work fine...but my stop lamps are not functioning... My first though was a fuse

A blown fuse would certainly be something that would cause this issue, also check to see if the brake lamp switch is faulty, and inspect the bulbs and the bulb holders.
