2004 BMW 330 Changing Headlamp Bulbs

I wish to replace the standard fit headlamp bulbs with XENON which I understand are a direct replacement.

One source suggests that the front bumper has to be removed. Another says that it is a 10minute under the bonnet job.

Please advise.

It is not a direct replacement, the wiring harness and car coding are going to need to be altered to have the swap be successful. The head lamp assemblies can be removed without removing the bumper.
