2003 BMW 330 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

convertible is moving freely up and down but it doen's seam to lock in place. I can operated manually with no problems. the locking mechanism is not shown in the service manual, or trobleshooting it only talks about the hydrolic system. when i try to open the top it will open and retract, but the cover for the top doen't lock in place making the light in the panell flash, I have to manually lock it in place. any sugestion

I suggest you seek out your local BMW professional for assisstance. It may be something like the micro switch for the recognition of the cover being closed.

i had the same problem...i replaced the battery..worked fine after that..i dont think ur battery has enough power left to fully open and close.
