Hi - I have a BMW 330 sport, 2002 and when I turn the ignition off the internal fan continues to blow and as a result it flattened the battery last week. If I remove the blower 40amp fuse this turns the fan off but I would like to get the problem sorted properly. Can anyone assist me please or know if this is a common fault?

With thanks

Matt

Yes Matt, it is a common fault, the final stage unit that controls the fan is a potted semi-conductor device that fails all the time.
