Mark, I hate to say this, but you are probably wasting your $$. The engineers at BMW have worked out what is best overall for the cars they sell, and if they thought that more power/performance/reliability was available from the car, they would have given it. This is not to say an exhaust system or a cold air intake will not alter performance, it will, it usually decreases it, either by adding unneeded noise or allowing back pressure changes in the exhaust that have a domino effect on decreasing performance. I am and have been a staunch advocate of leaving the car stock, or as stock as possible. Upgrades in suspension or tires and wheels is a fair exchange for the money, or "bang for your buck" But when folks try to reinvent the wheel and spend their dollars on modifications that do little more than add to the pocketbooks of the aftermarket manufacturing crowd, it makes me cringe.
