2000 BMW 328 Melted pulley on alternator belt

I first noticed a problem when my belt started making a whistling sound. After a day or two it got worse then I noticed that one of the plastic parts the alternator/water belt spins on looked melted and now my engine makes a horrible knocking sound, especially when I rev it up. Haven't moved it since, what should I do?

You should get the car inspected for the belts and tensioner replacement. Do not drive it, tow it.
