My Engine Light is on. I was told I needed a Secondary Air Pump. My son, who is quite handy, couldn't find it in the BMW manual. Where is it and is sit hard to install?

If there is a fault for secondary air, too little flow, then I would start with inspecting the small vacuum hose going to the secondary air valve for cracks, they fail quite often. The pump itself is located just behind the right shock tower and in front of the firewall under the hood.
