ODB II code P1289 Switching solenoid for Air Assisted Injection Valves Bank 2 Control Circuit Signal High.
Symptom is random misfire on all cylinders. Running rough.
Mechanic wants to try replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor.
What would you suggest?

replace the purge valve and then clear the adaptations and confirm the monitors have run to completion. If there is a problem with the air mass sensor, then prove it to me and I will feel good about condemning it.
