I PURCHASE THIS BMW IN FLORIDA. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM STARTING. NOW IN TEXAS IF OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE IS 40 DEGREES OR LOWER IT WILL NOT START AS EARLY IN THE MORNING. AS TEMPERATURE RISES BY NOON 60 DEGREES OR HIGHER FIRES RIGHT OFF. NO PROBLEM.

It could be something like grade of gasoline or maybe check the spark plugs, worn plugs can cause hard starting. Long cold crank times can also be due to dirty injectors, try a can of injector cleaner, let me know.
