It is possible the bulb is out. It is also possible that the other components in the system will require inspection. Those xenon bulbs aren't cheap, it pays to be sure. Often a replacement of one component will restore the system to operational order, and the part that has the highest failure rate is the module. There is also the ignitor and the bulb. The bulb will require removal of the headlamp assembly to replace. At the dealer, we replaced all three components to keep the problem gone until BMW started not paying us for the repairs due to budget constraints. Think all that $ spent is for the production costs? No way baby. They even cut the techs pay by 20%. The ultimate driving machine indeed!
