2002 BMW 325 car was in flooded streets during hurricane

The day after my daughter drove thru flooded streets the car would not go into first gear or reverse when it is warmed up. It will go into reverse when it is cool, and it will go forward but in high gear.

May have some electrical damage to the tranny brain, have the car scanned and let us know what the outcome is, could be some $$$$ so be forewarned!! ♥
