My windshield wipers work, but the up position is now the position the wipers stop in, both when turned on intermittent and when turned off. What is the problem?

Did this happen after the windshield was replaced?

No, the windshield hasn't been replaced since I've owned the car. It seemed to just randomly start hapening.

Thank you. The general module controls the wiper function. The feedback from the wiper motor might be corrupted and the park position is somehow inverted. Has the car been scanned with BMW specific type scanning equipment?

No. The only work I've had done on the car since I've owned it (about 10,000 miles now) is oil changes.

Let's start with the scanning of the car with proprietary BMW software.
