My CEL recently came on so I took it over to my local Auto zone to get the car scanned, they came back with the code P0128. I was told that it may have somthing to do with the thermostats or Temp sensor. I took off the Thermostat housing and checked to see if it was stuck open not the case. So I then decided to boil some water to see if it would open it did. Now I'm thinking it's then temp sensor on the Thermostat that is bad so I replace the whole housing, fill up on radiator fuild and bleed the system CEL is still on! Now do I have to get the code reset or will it eventually go away on it's own or should it have gone away as son as the part was replaced if that was indeed my problem?

Replace the thermostat, clear faults and reset adaptations and that should be the end of that mate.
