When I turn on the turn signal (left or right) it "sometimes" flashes rapidly for 5 - 10 and slows to a seemingly steady pace. Why?

The ground wire in the tail light assemblies is the problem. Remove the connectors and inspect the brown wire and the connection in the tail lamp assemblies. I have repaired these with success and sometimes replacement of the wiring connector or hard wiring the brown ground wire to the ground bus will do the trick, send me your e-mail address in a PM and I will try to talk you through this repair.
