Electrical problem
2001 BMW 325 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 95K miles

Recently a light came on the dash indicating that the trunk is not closed. This, of course, won't let me open the convertible top. Problem is that the trunk IS closed and for some reason the light says that trunk is unclosed. I have never had any problem in the past.
Please Help me!

Check the wiring at the umbilical, from the trunk lid to the tub. If defective, repair. It may need to have the latch assembly replaced. That is where the trunk closed signal comes from.
