I just installed a new alternator and it in not reaching my battery. My battery is in the back on my car. It test good at the front but nothing at the back. It wasn't working with the old alternator either.

You will need to inspect the wiring from alternator. Make sure connections are tight and clean. Also check battery terminals and cable connections are tight and clean here as well.
