1993 BMW 325 crankshaft position sensor

i can not get the crankshaft position sensor out of the housing it sits in i have tried pulling on it twisting just wont come lose

They tend to get covered with thick grease and dirt. My guess is that you haven't uncovered the allen screw that holds it in place. I think it was 5 mm.
