I have a 1993 325I. There is a leak coming from the over flow tank. The area between the top of the over flow tank and the top on the radiator. It doesn't over heat. But there's small splatter around the tank. Slow leak coming from the top of the tank. But only when the motor is running.

If your saying the seam is leaking replace the tank, the cooling system needs to operate under pressure to run cooler, if it can't buil the pressure, it will eventually overheat, and thats bad for an aluminum, engine.
