1992 BMW 325 Seat Belt

Our 1992 BMW 325i driver's seat belt mechanism won't latch the shoulder seat belt in place. The red cover has broken off and we can't figure out what isn't letting it latch. Please help.

mkkmorris, your life is too valuable to risk not replacing the receptacle with either a new one, or one from a salvage yard.

He took the middle seat belt connection out of the back seat and used a part from it. So now it's working.
