1989 BMW 325 6 cyl Manual 189000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a manual for my car, but it says that the next step is removing the timing sensor, which I am not exactly sure what this is. I have basically pulled everything off, I do not need to replace the timing belt (as it was done within 50K) but I am stuck. Can anyone please give me some step by step instrucitons on how to procede from here? I would GREATLY appreciate it!!

If you have pulled everything then you are ready to remove the pump. Remove the distributor and rotor, the bypass hose and the top timing belt cover. You will need to pull the arm that attaches to the alternator. This will allow access to the water pump.
