1999 BMW 323 post accident question

I hydroplaned on the hwy and spun around and hit my back passenger side tire against the median. It looks kicked in a bit. Once I parked it it won't go into gear now and theres a clunking sound out of that tire side and it wont kick into any gears. Do u think its the clutch all the transmission? How much would a repair run?

It is not possible to render a decision based on the stated facts. The problem sounds like it is in the corner that got smacked and not the trans or clutch. What do you intend for the repairs? Are you going to do the work?
