WHAT IS THIS VALVE AND ITS PURPOSE CAN I DO THE REPAIRS MY SELF? WHAT DOES IT TAKE AND I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT AN ASSOCIATED HOSE CAME OFF DUE TO OVERPRESSURIZING? THE ESTIMATED REPAIRS ARE $870.00 plus tax

I doubt the diagnosis, overpressure is typically not the reason the failure occurs, age and poor design is usually the reason. If you wish to take this on, there is a need for tools and the skill sets required to complete the task.
