I've been told my car needs crankcase valve and oxygen sensors. The estimate is $1000. Does that seem right?

The answer would be easier if the parts were identified by part number and price. $1k is a lot of change for undefined repairs. Also what model car is it? 1999 was a model change from E36 to E46. What are the last 7 characters of the VIN?
