Another fuel starvation problem

1995 320i no fuel to engine problem dr hagerty sugested bad fuel pump and change the fuel filter.
he also gave me a part number which I put into google and found where the fuel pump was and how the tank is set up.

so what did I do
the fuel pump is under the rear passenger seat on the drivers side the fuel filter is under the front passenger seat (under the Car)
I disconnected the fuel line at the outlet side of the fuel filter. Turned on the ignition nothing no fuel
removed the back seat and found the fuel pump
then I disconected the fuel line at the inlet end of the fuel filter put a coke bottle over it to catch any fuel and when I put the ignition on this time there was fuel in the bottle and I could hear the fuel pump
when I removed the fuel filter I blew through the middle or at least tried to it was almost blocked solid
i have put on a new filter but she still wont go

so now im thinking
is there a blockage some where along the injector rail
or the injectors
if so is this a big job will I be able to do it how do I do it
could there be a problem with the pump even though it apears to work?
could there be a problem with the fuel acumulator if so how do I check
or is there something else I havent thought of
