Looking to replace a shaky starter. Probably just the solenoid, but bought a full rebuild. The Haynes Manual I have shows none of the myriad rubber tubes and wires that was the USA pollution control in the day. Plus they only show the carburated version, not fuel injected version with the bulking manifold. It should be a simple removal except for the above. Is there a manual that shows the American version (Haynes being an English Publication and they didn't have this kind of pollution controls). I need a hint as to what is best way to pull it out of the engine compartment.

There is a strut holding the manifold that needs to be removed to access the starter. The last one I did was a pain in the #*♥
