2005 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 78600k miles

Worn disc pad light was illuminated so changed pads front and rear but light still stays on. How do I reset light to go out

If after replacement of the sensors and the pads and rotors the method to make the tattle tale light go out is to turn the key to the run position and wait for the light to go out, it takes several seconds.
