2002 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 73289. miles

my car is experiencing white smoke from exhaust. my oil levels are normal and there is a slight shortage of coolant in the radiator every week. i mix water with my coolant is that maybe the problem? i had radiator problems before and fixed it two times where a beige oily substance(transmission oil) was mixed with the coolant in the radiator and the engine's temperature rose up to the end...[img:068bb9d950]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/196039_bmw_1.jpg[/img:068bb9d950]
