My car just stalls for now apparent reason when driving down the road. The warning triangle light and the yellow exclamations light stay lit up

After it sits for a couple of hours it will finally starts back up. I took it to a mechanic who did a diagnostic and he said it needed three sensors.

I just paid for three sensors to be replaced....two fuel and one cam/timing sensor so I am told. I do not know about these cars. This is european model!

Any recommendations would be appreciated

Many Thanks

Greg (temporarily in Romania)

The N42 motor in the car is not sold in the US market in the E46 body style. It may require sensors, but without further diagnostics with the proprietary BMW software, it is unlikely I can be of any assistance at this time.
