I have had a problem with my car radio that the lights come on when I turn my ignition on but no sound comes out. After a few stops, turning my ignition on and off, the sound is back. But that is not what bothers me.

My real problem is that my airconditioner suddenly stopped working. It blows out normal air. All the lights work and the internal fan works fine. I had it checked for aircon gas but that seems ok too. If I switch the aircon on the compressor does not pull in and turn. Could this be an electrical fault running with the radio? Or do I need a new compressor? In the past it has happened once or twice that the internal fan stopped working or the lights suddenly dimmed but only for a few seconds. Then it would return to normal again.

The climate control is readable for faults. Have the vehicle scanned with BMW proprietary software and repost.
