1998 BMW 318 rough engine

My BMW 318ti started to hesitate when at idle at full stops and seems to want to shut off. When driving there is no problem with performance at all only when stopped or in park. any suggestions. need to go in the right direction before I tear it apart.

Inspect or replace the crank case vent valve and/or the hose attached. There are two 5mm Allen screws easily accessed from under the intake manifold.
