1996 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

hello my name is andrew
i need to know how to repair a syncroniser ring i think just before the slave cylnder came apart it would kick out of first gear it wouldnt evenm go in and if u let out the cluch in the gear it would just grind i just replaced the cluch pack and now am at an end and dont know what to doyou help is greatly appreacated

Hi there,

The transmission will have to be removed and dismantled, there are special pullers and tools required to fully dismantle a gear box, so i would suggest that you purchase a work shop manual and study that section, often this is well beyond a home mechanic, so i would suggest that you make sure that you are confident before attempting this job.
