1996 BMW 318 Cooling fan doesnt come on and car is overheat

Replaced radiator and took thermostat out but the fan isnt coming on when idling or after turning the car off. The water in the radiator doesnt look like its circulating

have your engine coolant temperature sensor tested for faultiness

Put a thermostat back in! Your engine may not be reaching correct operating temperatures....A new one will do fine!
