1996 BMW 318 Airbag light is on

It's supposed to come on when I start the engine then turn off after a few seconds, but it stays on all the time.. What could it be? Is their a certain specialty shop I should have it taken to, to have them take a look at it?

You need as hop wiitht the ability to scan the system.Call around, you might wind up at a specialty shop (euro cars). Some shops dont invest the money it takes to be able to scan the Euro cars
