1994 BMW 318 Engine Thermostat

Hi, Have a overheating problem, need to know the location of thermostat on eng. Checked the normal location, radiator top hose engine end nothing there.

Thermostat is in thermostat housing, located at the intake side of engine. Drain coolant then remove 3 bolts on the housing. Pull thermostat housing off and remove thermostat.
