Electrical problem
1994 BMW 318 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Tody I went to move my car and stoped to pick up my mail (i shut the car off), After I got my mail, I walked right back to car, and it just wouldn't start. When I first started the car to move it, it started up
just fine. Now the dash lights up fine, but when I turn the key all the way to start it, I get nothing, no noise at alll, Also, while i'm driving the car, when it is working, all of the lights on the dash light up and I hear that ding, ding noise.(PLEASE HELP, CAUSE I AM SO FRUSTERATED. THANK YOU

Hi Emily, has this been a recurring issue or did it just start? Also what is the history of the battery? I might guess the battery is weak and might require replacement. There might be other issues, but let's start with this okay?

Hello, yes it has been a recurring problem, also I just replaced the battery about 6 months ago, I took the car to a mechanic and he's telling me it's the starter, and I thought I got that fixed right before I got the battery, but apparently I have been taken for a ride, it's cause i'm a female, or these people just are in this to rip people off
