Engine Mechanical problem
1993 BMW 318 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 110k miles

I have previously written about my sick e36 318is as it has been a non starter for over a year now.Got a 2nd opinion from my local garage as to non start problem,no compression (bent valves) .So,here is my question...I have re-newed all engine gaskets/head bolts 6 months before car broke down so I am wondering when I repair/replace valves can I re-use head gasket, head bolts again? Thanks for your pro input ; )[im

Hi there,

You can never re use a head gasket or any gasket or seal for that matter, and the head bolts should also be replaced. Torque to yield bolts should never be re used even if only torqued down foe a few Minuit's, they are designed as a once only use.
