Hi there,
my 318 i bmw does not rev over 4000rpm,after which the car stutters and shudders and loses power rapidly. On reducing rpm power returns.I have a hard start and pulsating idle(rev needle pulsate up and down on idle) Car is very lazy from standstill, cannot accelerate rapidly.Computer diagnostics shows everything fine, have replaced leads, fuel pump is fine, catalytic convertor is fine, coil is fine. A mechanic told me it may be my distributor cap and rotor.
Any thoughts?
