my temperature gauge went to red and after filling with kettle and half of water it returned to normal.after driving for a while the temperature gauge flunctuates between middle and red all the time

Hi there,

If you are loosing coolant. you will need to get a system pressure test done, this will help locate any external leaks. have the thermostat changed and get the radiator cleaned & flow tested.
