There is a grinding noise coming from the transmission, but only in 1st and 2nd gears. (and whle in neutral). A mechanic friend of mine has told me I need to put more trans oil in it, but I cannot find where to put it. He is unfamiliar with BMW's so does not know either. Is there a valve or reservoir somewhere and I'm just not looking in the right place, or is it a sealed unit..?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
