When I press the clutch it offers no resistance and will not engage. It has been suggested that I check the fluid, but I don't know where the resovior is. The car doesn't have an owners manual. Also what kind of fluid do I use? Brake fluid or transmission fluid or something else?
This problem has just begun. I have had the car for three months with no problems. I started it this morning depressed the clutch and nothing happened.
Can you help me?

Hi there,

The clutch reservoir is the smaller of the two hydraulic reservoirs on the fire wall, it will use brake fluid. If low the system will have a leak that will need to be rectified either at the slave cylinder on the gear box or the master cylinder on the fire wall, Add fluid and operate clutch, with pedal down the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder is opened and air is expelled close before lifting pedal, do this 4-5 times that should give enough clutch operation to drive to be repaired.
