my 318i wont start when the fuel is connected to the injector but if i disconnect or close the fuel line it will run beautifully until the fuel is turned back on or it starves itself out

Look for a shorted wiring harness locking on the injectors. The wiring harness runs along the fuel rail and gets worn through and it runs the injectors full time. Perhaps it is time to retire the car.
